Cassino Yellowhammer

Info

Sorry for the delay. On sale now!

Cassino originally released Yellowhammer, their third full-length album and first since 2009's Kingprince, in March 2020. The album is a rejuvenation of Nick Torres' on-and-off project -- it's the first Cassino release recorded in a studio since the 2007 debut LP Sounds of Salvation, as Torres worked with engineer John Hefley at DB Studios in Dickson, TN. Torres wrote and produced Yellowhammer, while Gabe Renfroe added drums and Craig Krampf added additional percussion.

Having already worked with Cassino on a first-time pressing Sounds of Salvation back in 2020, we thought it was only appropriate to help bring Yellowhammer to vinyl as well. On this page you can order the Yellowhammer 12", which is in stock and will begin shipping very soon. All orders of the 12" will come with a digital download of the album delivered to your inbox as well.

You can listen to Yellowhammer on Apple Music and Spotify. Here are some thoughts from Nick Torres about the record:

"Really with this album, the main goal was I wanted to see how much of this I could do solo, with the writing/instrumentation and also producing/mixing. John Hefley built his own studio, and I was fortunate enough that he was able to help capture this record in a professional setting, as opposed to $200 mics in a hallway. Losing my parents and also some longtime friends in between this record and the last EP, I kind of needed an outlet. A lot of this record comes from that."
