Some of the titles available on this page were restocked as part of our 2020 Vault Release. Please note that these units we have been moved back and forth across different warehouses, distributors and BTR headquarters. Some may have visible signs of damage, such as small splits in jackets -- but we have visually checked each unit to get rid of the ones we view as unacceptable. We will not be able to issue refunds or accept returns on sales from these units except in extreme circumstances, so please consider this before purchasing.
These units are denoted below, in the pressing information -- everything with asterisks was restocked with the Vault Release.
One last thing: Sometimes when you are purchasing on mobile, you cannot read the full description of the items in the drop-down menu. To avoid confusion, each of the items in the drop-down menu will be labeled like this: "Split Number - Partner Name - Subscriber/General." For example, for Devinyl Splits No. 1 you will see: "No. 1 - Caws - Subscriber" or "No. 1 - Caws - General." The difference between subscriber/general is the variant (see pressing info below for that info).
This is one page where you can purchase all remaining stock of every installment in the Devinyl Splits series to date.
For the uninitiated, Devinyl Splits is a project in which Kevin Devine releases a 7" split with a different partner for each release. Sometimes Kevin and that split's partner will release a new song ... sometimes they'll both cover the same artist ... sometimes they will cover each other.
Devinyl Splits Vol. 1 came out in 2015-16 and included six installments. The six partners for the splits were Matthew Caws (of Nada Surf), Meredith Graves (of Perfect Pussy), Tigers Jaw, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Owen, and Jesse Lacey. The first volume of the splits can be listened to and purchased on Bandcamp, Apple Music and Spotify.
Devinyl Splits Vol. 2 came out in 2018-19 and included another six installments. The partners for these splits were Craig Finn, Worriers (a bonus, seventh, digital-only installment), Petal, David Bazan, John K. Samson, Cavetown, and The Front Bottoms. The second volume of the splits can be listened to and purchased on Bandcamp, Apple Music and Spotify.
For each of the volumes, we started off by offering subscriptions to the entire series. In both cases, folks were able to subscribe in two different models. One model featured an exclusive colorway of the splits and a few extra goodies. The second model featured just the standard colorway of the splits and nothing else. The splits were released every other month (for the most part) in the years when they were being released and would be delivered to subscribers' doorsteps immediately upon release. Each individual 7" was also offered individually at the time of its own release.
OKAY! Now, on this page, we have collected ALL REMAINING STOCK of all 12 installments of the splits so far. Hopefully this was enough information for you. The pressing information for everything is below.
