Knuckle Puck - Retrospective 12" + 7"

November 18, 2022 · BTR-078

Knuckle Puck was one of the first bands we worked with -- their first release with Bad Timing dates back to 2014, with the Knuckle Puck / Neck Deep Split 7" coming out as BTR-004 in February of that year. This release takes a look back at Knuckle Puck's early years -- Retrospective is a 12" LP + 7" EP combo that collects several releases, all originally pressed on vinyl by Bad Timing Records between 2014 and 2015.

On Side A of the 12" LP, you'll find 2013's The Weight That You Buried (originally BTR-008), and their two songs from that split with Neck Deep. Side B includes 2014's While I Stay Secluded EP (originally BTR-012), while the 7" is 2012's Don't Come Home EP (originally BTR-016).

Both the 12" and the 7" are housed in a silver gatefold jacket.

Cassino - Yellowhammer

April 20, 2022 · BTR-076

Cassino originally released Yellowhammer, their third full-length album and first since 2009's Kingprince, in March 2020. The album is a rejuvenation of Nick Torres' on-and-off project -- it's the first Cassino release recorded in a studio since the 2007 debut LP Sounds of Salvation, as Torres worked with engineer John Hefley at DB Studios in Dickson, TN. Torres wrote and produced Yellowhammer, while Gabe Renfroe added drums and Craig Krampf added additional percussion.

Having already worked with Cassino on a first-time pressing Sounds of Salvation back in 2020, we thought it was only appropriate to help bring Yellowhammer to vinyl as well.

Ace Enders, Dan Campbell -- Clear Eyes Fanzine: Season One, Episodes 1-6

July 14, 2023 · BTR-075

Our dear friends Ace Enders and Dan Campbell originally released Clear Eyes Fanzine in late 2018 on Bandcamp and streaming services. The six-track release is an homage specifically to the first six episodes of the first season of the television program Friday Night Lights.

We're happy to partner with them to bring this special project to vinyl for the first time. We've also expanded the tracklist to include a cover of Daniel Johnston's "Devil Town," probably the most iconic needle drop from the show's legendary soundtrack.

Kevin Devine - 2007 Tour EP

September 10, 2021 · BTR-074

Kevin Devine's 2007 Tour EP was originally released only on a CD, during a tour with Manchester Orchestra and Brand New. It includes an alternate version of "Wolf's Mouth" (originally from Make The Clocks Move) and an acoustic version of "You'll Only End Up Joining Them" (originally from Put Your Ghost to Rest), in addition to five covers.

We brought it to vinyl for the first time alongside anniversary re-presses of two other Kevin Devine LPs in 2021.

I Can Make A Mess - Gold Rush

June 25, 2021 · BTR-073

This special 10-year anniversary pressing is only the second time the record has been released on vinyl. The first pressing came in the year of its original release on 350 copies from American Dream Records.

Mansions - Old Best Friends

October 29, 2021 · BTR-072

Continuing a long-going partnership with Mansions, we're pleased to present Old Best Friends, a 12" LP retrospective of the band's career. Old Best Friends is a career-spanning acoustic reimagining of twelve songs, picked from 2009's New Best Friends, 2010's Best of the Bees, 2011's Dig Up The Dead, 2013's Doom Loop, 2017's Deserter and 2020's Big Bad.

Mansions is a Seattle band made up of Louisville, Kentucky transplants Chris Browder and Robin Dove. Inspired by Browder's pandemic project of cataloging every show the band had ever played, Old Best Friends shines a light on the powerful songwriting that underpins Mansions' often massive-sounding production. "When we hit the 10-year anniversary of Dig Up The Dead, it got me thinking about everything we've done over our history," explains Browder. "I went back and listened to all of our records. I was surprised to find that even the stuff that feels old enough to have been a different person still resonates with me. It felt like reinterpreting all these old songs would be a meaningful way to honor that history, while also making it into something new that I can believe in all these years later."

Kevin Devine - Matter of Time II

Matter Of Time II is the second live studio album from Kevin Devine & The Goddamn Band. Pressed on three variants across 1,000 units, the album includes 13 tracks that span Kevin's career.

Kevin Devine - No One's Waiting Up For Me Tonight

June 25, 2021 · BTR-069

Nightmare of You - Nightmare of You

December 11, 2020 · BTR-068

A re-issue vinyl pressing of Nightmare of You's 2005 self-titled album. We're happy to bring this New York band's originally self-released debut LP back to vinyl to help celebrate its 15-year anniversary. This is the first pressing of this album since 2008, when it was pressed alongside Nightmare of You's follow-up EP in a limited run. Pressed on two different variants, limited to 500 total.

Mansions - Best of the Bees

November 18, 2020 · BTR-067

Originally released in 2010, Best of the Bees is a compilation album from Mansions that includes, in frontman Christopher Browder's own words, the best non-album songs that Mansions released between 2008 and 2009. Previously available only digitally, we're happy to present this cool piece of Mansions history on vinyl for the first time. This pressing comes with a slightly altered tracklisting -- 11 songs instead of 10 -- and is limited to 500 units.

Ace Enders - Dustin' Off The Ol' Guitar

September 17, 2020 · BTR-066

Dustin' Off The Ol' Guitar sees multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ace Enders revisiting songs from throughout his career in an acoustic setting. Originally released in 2010, we're partnering to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the record by giving it a first-time vinyl pressing. The seven songs explore a moment in time in Enders' songwriting history approached in an intimate sound.

I Can Make A Mess - The World We Know

September 17, 2020 · BTR-065

Mansions - Big Bad

June 26, 2020 · BTR-064

This is the first new Mansions full-length since 2013's Doom Loop and their first new music since 2017's Deserter EP. It's the fourth LP overall for the Seattle band, consisting of multi-instrumentalist Chris Browder and bassist Robin Dove, following Doom Loop, 2011's Dig Up The Dead and 2009's New Best Friends.

Big Bad finds Mansions at an intersection. It's an album that's preoccupied with making peace with the past and finding a way to make the most of the future--all without losing sight of here and now. Browder's songwriting has never been more dynamic, weaving vibrant synths, shimmering guitars, and churning bass into a sound that captures the big hooks that Mansions are known for while also entering uncharted sonic territory.

Matters of aging, mortality, and identity are explored over the top of 11 songs that range from sparse and deeply intimate to sprawling and atmospheric, often within the same song. The result is a document of change and growth that feels like a culmination of Mansion's ever-evolving sound, as well as a new way forward.

Cassino - Sounds of Salvation

April 22, 2020 · BTR-062

At the time of its release, Sounds of Salvation fit nicely into the niche of many mid-2000s acoustic side projects. Cassino featured Northstar bandmates Nick Torres and Tyler Odom, who started writing the songs for this self-released album following Northstar's break-up. More than a decade later, though, this LP and 2009's stripped-down Kingprince still stand out. Sounds of Salvation was pressed on vinyl for the first time by Bad Timing Records in spring 2020, and a re-press followed in fall 2020.
